This would also ease our parents the burden of caring for teenagers. This dream came true on 2nd October, 2011 when St. Theresa’s Catholic College took off with Mrs. Christiana Inedia as her first Principal. After the bomb blast that took place in the Church premises on 25th December, 2011, the Catholic Bishop of Minna Diocese Most Rev. Dr. Martin Igwemezie Uzoukwu, (The School Proprietor) changed the name of College from St. Theresa’s Catholic College to Holy Innocence Catholic College in commemoration of those who were affected during the blast. In February 2012, Mrs. Evelyn Eshika handed over to Miss Chinyere Umegbolu as the Headmistress of the School while Mrs. Callista Anyanwu as the School Principal. Also in 2013, Mr. Modestus Nnamani came in as the school administrator. In the same year, Very Rev. Fr. Isaac .A. Achi was transferred and was replaced by Rev. Fr. Imelo Raphael as the new Parish Priest of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church and dean of Kwamba Deanery. Within this period, Rev. Fr. Raphael Imelo single handedly sponsored the school first maiden magazine (the eye magazine) that worth more than half a million naira. This was done in line with the graduation ceremony of the pioneer students who graduated from JSS3 TO SS1.
As the need for more accommodation arises, Very Rev. Fr. Raphael Imelo deemed it necessary to add more classrooms to accommodate students who graduated from JSS3 to SS1 with this; SS1 class began in September 9th 2013. Fr. Imelo having succeeded with this plan, he also equipped computer and science laboratories and installed (CBT) Computer Base Test Package to enable the students prepare for JAMB Examinations. Above all, he got the final approval of the school and brought in Examination centers for both internal and external namely WAEC, NECO and NABTEB, and also introduced adult education class which was fully registered. Rev. Fr. Raphael Imelo was transferred and handed over to Rev. Fr. James Omeh on 25th March, 2019. and Fr. James Omeh is the manager and Principal of the school till date.
